Lauren & Thomas | {Engagement} Jacksonville, FL

At this point, I feel like I've known Lauren for almost forever. She's best friends with our friend Megan, who I spent the good ol' days with - riding bikes, playing in dirt, climbing trees, swimming in the summers, playing house, summoning witches at one point - the usual kid stuff. I feel like I've watched her grow up, even being only a couple years older, so it was really amazing following their love story the last few years. OF COURSE when she asked me to photograph their wedding I freaked out with a whole lot of "OH MY GOSH YESSSSSSS! I'VE ONLY BEEN WAITING FOREVER."

We met up at Treaty Oak Park and Friendship Fountain in Jacksonville, FL for obvious reasons. If you're not from Jax, check the pictures out. Treaty Oak is a Southern Live Oak dating back some 250 years. Word on the street is that it even pre-dates when the city was founded. The branches stretch out magnificently like a crazy octopus on a lot of caffeine. It's gorgeous and if you ever get the chance to take pictures there (ahem, I know a pretty awesome photographer who will meet you there) DO IT. And then of course Friendship fountain is the fountain in the background of the pictures with water. It sits next to MOSH and I don't know anything about the significance of it other than it's pretty and it shoots up water. At night it's lit up. Ooohhhh pretty things haha!

p.s. this is a pretty delayed post because MAYBE their engagement session was like.... December of 2016. I'm SO BEHIND BLOGGING. It's been a rough year, ok. Stop judging and look at these cute pictures. Yes, their wedding pictures will be blogged here soon. Or next year. We'll see.
